Minnesota Vikings vs. Seattle Seahawks: 3 Bold predictions for Week 14
By Samuel Teets
Less than 350 combined passing yards
The Seahawks defense is allowing 250.7 passing yards per game and the Vikings defense is allowing 228.6 passing yards per game. The Seahawks offense is gaining just 204.4 yards through the air per game while the Vikings are managing 274.8. However, both teams have had games with low passing numbers and have just had several really poor performances this year. With both defenses being solid and loaded with Pro Bowl level talent, I think we could see both quarterbacks struggle to move the ball.

Last week, Kirk Cousins, the Vikings big offseason signing, threw for just 201 yards and Russell Wilson threw for 185 passing yards, but also four touchdowns, last week. These two quarterbacks, despite having made Pro Bowls in the past, both can be inconsistent and have low yardage games. In Cousins’ case, the new Vikings quarterback can go off and have great games, but then there are performances like the one he had last week.
As for Wilson, the Seahawks run game has been so good that he doesn’t have to put up large passing totals. So a low passing yardage game isn’t out of the picture.
The defenses those two quarterbacks are facing will also have a major impact. The Seahawks defense is tied for the sixth most interceptions this season with twelve, and the Vikings are right behind them with eleven. The Vikings defense’s 36 sacks are five more than the Seahawks’ 31. Both defenses rank in the top half of the league in sacks. You better believe these defenses will be flying around the field making plays on Monday.
