In Week 16, The Pittsburgh Steelers face the New Orleans Saints in a matchup of division leaders at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are coming off a win against the New England Patriots as they come into Week 16 with an 8-5-1 record to face the New Orleans Saints. These are two division leaders battling it out to secure their futures in the playoffs.

Coming into this game, the Steelers have held on to the No. 1 spot in the AFC North after winning against the Patriots last week. There is confidence brewing in Pittsburgh, and they will need it to carry over as they face one of the top defenses in the NFL.

If the Steelers pull of this win, they can get a third consecutive division title. But on the flip side, the Saints could hold off Pittsburgh as they have plenty to play for as well. New Orleans has the NFC South locked up, but a win would virtually lock them into the top overall seed in the conference for the playoffs, giving them home-field advantage leading to the Super Bowl.

Ben Roethlisberger led the Steelers against Tom Brady a week ago and he will now face Drew Brees, who is leading the league in passing and is always ready for the challenge, even if he’s been off his game a bit as of late.

Prediction

There’s no hiding that Pittsburgh put in everything into last week’s game with the Patriots. So can they do it again at the Superdome? Both offenses will dominate and it will be a battle until the last second. In the end, it will come down to the best defensive play deciding the winner of this matchup.

Final Score: Pittsburgh 34, New Orleans 31
