2019 NFL Mock Draft: Josh Allen rises in full 2-round mock
By Randy Gurzi
1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State
After moving on from Steve Wilks after just one season, there’s hope for the Arizona Cardinals that they can find a coach the players will respond to. It likely wasn’t easy firing a guy just one season after hiring him, but the results spoke for themselves.

The Cardinals just didn’t perform well under Wilks, and there was no way to pinpoint what the actual problem was. They were bad in all facets and even a respected star player like David Johnson was unable to accomplish much last season. Also unable to accomplish anything was their defense.
That was a bit surprising considering they had been good on that side in the past and Wilks was a respected defensive mind, he even coached that side of the ball in Carolina before joining Arizona.
All their shortcomings equaled up to them owning the No. 1 pick in this draft, and since they have their quarterback of the future in Josh Rosen, they can go with the absolute best player here which is Ohio State’s Nick Bosa. The edge rushing Bosa is No. 1 on most draft boards and will give the Cardinals a nightmarish defensive line to deal with once paired with Chandler Jones.
Those two can help the entire defense improve, and if they can get Rosen up to speed — and figure out how to get Johnson involved again — 2019 could be a much better season.
