5. Darrell Bevell

The first name we look at is Darrell Bevell, a former Super Bowl winner who spent 2018 out of the NFL. Bevell has worked around some of the best in the game as he was a quarterbacks coach with the Green Bay Packers when Brett Favre was on staff. His final season with the team came when Aaron Rodgers was a rookie and Bevell then later again worked with Favre as he was the offensive coordinator for the Minnesota Vikings from 2006 through 2010.

After that, he headed to the Seattle Seahawks and held the same position from 2011-17. Bevell was the play caller for the team that went to back-to-back Super Bowls and came away with one title.

He was also credited for his work with Russell Wilson, who has some similar traits to Dak Prescott in that they are both mobile quarterbacks that can be deadly outside of the pocket. Bevell may be best remembered for calling the passing play from the one-yard line at the end of Super Bowl XLIX which was picked off and cost the ‘Hawks a title, but his career shouldn’t be defined by one moment.

As for his fit with Dallas, we already have seen the affinity this team has for Seattle. They also had a lot of success signing Kris Richard as their defensive backs coach, after he was relieved from his duties as the defensive coordinator for Seattle. Thus, they could hope for more of the same should they bring Bevell to Big D.
