2019 NFL Mock Draft: Defensive line dominates as quarterbacks fall
By Randy Gurzi
1. Arizona Cardinals: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State
There was a lot about the Arizona Cardinals season to dislike, but they’re not in terrible shape moving forward. That’s simply because they have their quarterback in Josh Rosen, so they just need to build around him and they can become competitive quickly.
They can also go into this draft with the No. 1 overall pick and not feel hamstrung with where to go. Instead, the Cards take the best player available — which is Nick Bosa.

Jacob Schyvinck of NFL Mocks is high on Bosa and says he has a ton of positives to like. Here he gives his take on what makes the Ohio State edge rusher stand out.
"“Bosa has an excellent array of moves to win along the edge. He can win by bending the edge to get around tackles without much contact, though that isn’t very often. Bosa also does a great job messing with his opponent, often jabbing inside or outside to freeze the tackle to gain an advantage. His main plan of attack usually involves great hand usage. He usually gains the advantage with his hands, whether it be with a club, chop, or a hand swipe.” — Schyvinck, NFL Mocks"
The Cardinals pairing Bosa with Chandler Jones gives them the makings of an elite defense. There are other holes to fill, but two guys who can record double-digit sacks makes up for a lot on that side of the ball.
