Round 1: Greg Little, OT, Ole Miss

The Redskins will have to monitor Alex Smith and his recovery time closely. There hasn’t been much news leaked after reports emerged that there were complications with the surgery. Smith has been seen out lately, but there’s not much encouragement after seeing the giant brace that’s stabilizing his leg.

Should Smith not be ready to roll, they will need to consider making a move in free agency or drafting a signal-caller. Again, Smith’s health will help determine their move. Here, we remain optimistic that Smith will play at some point in 2019 and that if the Redskins make a move, it will be for a temporary starter like Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyrod Taylor, or maybe even someone like Jacoby Brissett.

Whichever way they gom Washington would be wise to get better at blocking for their quarterbacks. Trent Williams currently mans the left side and despite having a down season, he can still get the job done. On the right side, things weren’t as good. Here, they take Greg Little who can take over on the right side, but can also eventually take over at left tackle should Williams not bounce back.

The Ole Miss tackle is a massive player who excels with power. He will need to work on his technique, but has an incredibly high ceiling.
