1. Arizona Cardinals: Quinnen Williams, DT, Alabama

This is a pick that I struggle with. The Arizona Cardinals have a lot of holes on their roster, but defensive end is actually not one of them. However, the top prospect in this draft could very well be a defensive end as Ohio State’s Nick Bosa is battling with Quinnen Williams for the right to go No. 1.

Then there’s the idea of new head coach Kliff Kingsbury throwing out a curveball and drafting Kyler Murray with the top pick and trading Josh Rosen. He said in the past he would take the Heisman winner No. 1 overall if he were in the NFL, and now he has the chance to do just that.

This doesn’t mean Kingsbury will actually do that, and he probably also would have assumed if his team was picking No. 1 they weren’t going to have Josh Rosen as an option. So no, that won’t happen and we’re back to fighting between Nock Bosa and Quinnen Williams.

Bosa could end up being the best overall player and if Chandler Jones weren’t already on the roster, he would be the selection. Instead, the Cards let that be the tiebreaker as Williams becomes their choice here.
