4. Packers face pressure to end playoff drought

Normally, the Packers were always one of those teams in the NFC that seemed to be a lock to at least earn a Wild Card spot in the playoffs when Aaron Rodgers was healthy enough to play under center, but this has been far from the case over the last two seasons.

While Rodgers has unfortunately dealt with a few injuries during the two-year span, there was no excuse for Green Bay to come up short the way they did in reaching the playoffs each time, especially this past season.

Part of the reason why McCarthy was fired the way he did was due to the fact that he seemed to be holding Rodgers back during his prime years since it will only be a matter of time before the Packers star earns a place in Canton.

Even with Matt LaFleur coming on board as the new head coach, the pressure is still going to be high for the Packers to return to the playoffs instead of letting another year go to waste with the talent they have to work with on both sides of the football.

Add Brown to the mix on offense, and Green Bay’s chances to end their playoff drought will have a better chance of happening in 2019.
