1. Arizona Cardinals: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma

It felt like a smokescreen at first, but it’s starting to feel like there’s a real fire in the desert. Since Kliff Kingsbury was announced as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals, the questions came out about his affinity for Oklahoma quarterback Kyler Murray.

While still in the collegiate ranks, Kingsbury said he would draft Murray No. 1 overall if he were running an NFL franchise. Now he is, and as fate would have it, they own the No. 1 overall pick. They also happen to have Josh Rosen, who was the No. 10 pick a season ago. That made it seem unlikely that Murray would be the choice. That’s changed now and the buzz all over the combine was that Murray is destined for Arizona.

It was shrugged off repeatedly, but that same thing happened last season with Baker Mayfield and the Cleveland Browns. For those thinking the Cards are playing games, the question is what do they have to gain by floating this idea? No one is looking to move to No. 1 for Murray and professing their love for him only diminishes Rosen’s value in a trade.

With all that being said, the Cardinals could end up with Murray here and if they do, the coming season could be a lot more fun in the Phoenix area.
