14. Ingram leaves Saints for Packers

Over the last two years, Mark Ingram has been fortunate enough to be part of the a dynamic duo with the New Orleans Saints by teaming up with Alvin Kamara to cause all sorts of problems for opposing defenses.

For obvious reasons, the Saints would love nothing more than to see Ingram return for another year, but also realize that the former Alabama star could be on his way out if he receives a better offer from another team.

Unlike New Orleans, the Green Bay Packers have come up short in each of the last two seasons when it comes to earning trips to the playoffs, and while their ground game has shown some improvement, they still need help.

Someone like Ingram certainly isn’t going to solve all of the issues the Packers have dealt with at times in the ground game, but just imagine how effective he could be teaming up with someone new like Aaron Jones.

With all due respect to Jones, the running back may not be on the same level as Kamara, but with Ingram part of the mix, this could certainly help take some of the extra pressure off Aaron Rodgers under center while putting Green Bay in better position to make a playoff run.
