15. Clinton-Dix receives prove-it deal from Redskins

In the middle of last season, the Washington Redskins acquired Ha Ha Clinton-Dix from the Green Bay Packers with the hope it would help their defense reach a whole new level to put them in better position to compete in the NFC.

Unfortunately, Clinton-Dix didn’t exactly live up to the expectations the Redskins were hoping to see, although the argument can be made the team as a whole struggled for the most part since things got complicated once Alex Smith went down.

To make things even more difficult for Washington, Clinton-Dix will be looking for a hefty new contract, which they may not be able to afford when looking at how tight their salary cap situation already is.

Does this mean Clint-Dix returning to the Redskins? Of course not, since the safety could always look at the potential surrounding this team after witnessing how close they came last year to earning a trip to the playoffs before coming up short in the final weeks.

Maybe if Washington gets lucky, Clinton-Dix would be willing to do one of those prove-it deals for one year to see how things went in 2019, and then decide later on if it would be worth considering a heftier contract down the road.
