The NFL’s legal tampering period begins on Monday, March 11, and we’re tracking ever 2019 NFL free agency rumor, reported deal and more.

Nothing has happened prior to the start of 2019 NFL free agency, right? The legal tampering period, when teams can officially contact agents for unrestricted free agents, begins on Monday, March 11. However, there has already been a multitude of things happening throughout the NFL prior to that beginning.

The Oakland Raiders have been at the heart of the early offseason drama to this point. Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock not only pulled off a trade for Antonio Brown, but then dealt offensive guard Kelechi Osemele to the New York Jets. Don’t expect that to be the last we hear from the Raiders, either, as they are expected to be in play for numerous guys in NFL free agency.

On top of that, we’ve seen one pass-rusher come off the market as Dante Fowler will return to the Los Angeles Rams. Throw in earlier trades that involved Joe Flacco going to the Denver Broncos, Case Keenum going to the Washington Redskins and much more, and NFL free agency and the offseason has already been going quite strongly.

More from NFL Spin Zone

With it being March 11 and more news and rumors set to come, let’s keep track of every major NFL free agency rumor and report that comes out (Note: Items are listed from most recent to oldest and will update throughout the day).

Foles getting PAID by Jacksonville

As expected, the Jacksonville Jaguars will indeed sign Super Bowl LII MVP Nick Foles to a contract. Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, the deal is worth $88 million over the next four years, with a maximum value of $102 million. A big payday for the backup in Philly.

Bills land Frank Gore

After earlier reported interest, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that the Buffalo Bills will sign Frank Gore to a one-year, $2 million pact.

Kenny Vaccaro back with Titans on long-term deal

After picking up Kenny Vaccaro midseason in 2018, the Tennessee Titans are bringing the safety back to Nashville. According to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the deal is for four years and worth $26 million.

Jets get Darnold help with Jamison Crowder

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the New York Jets will sign slot receiver Jamison Crowder, formerly of the Washington Redskins. The deal with Gang Green is worth $28.5 million over three years, a hefty financial commitment to the talented, young pass-catcher.

Lions not done, add Jesse James

With a need at tight end, the Lions were expected to address the position this offseason. Per Mike Garafolo of NFL Network, they’ve done so as they’ll sign former Steeler Jesse James. This is a solid pickup for Detroit, getting an underrated option at tight end.

Trey Flowers to Detroit

The Detroit Lions are set to sign defensive end Trey Flowers, as reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Per Ian Rapoport, the deal is for five years and worth more than $16 or $17 million per year. Matt Patricia adds another former Patriot.

Landon Collins to Washington

After trading for Ha Ha Clinton-Dix midseason in 2018, the Washington Redskins have made another big play for a safety. As first reported by ESPN’s Josina Anderson, Landon Collins is heading to the nation’s capital. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport adds that the deal is a massive six-year, $84 million pact with $45 million guaranteed.

Jets favorites, Bears another player in Le’Veon Bell sweepstakes

Not that it’s terribly surprising, but new players in the sweepstakes to land running back Le’Veon Bell continue to emerge. According to Matt Verderame on FanSided, the Jets are the favorites to sign Bell, but the Chicago Bears have serious interest in the star running back.

San Francisco eyeing an OBJ trade

In the wake of agreeing to sign Alexander, Matt Miller of Bleacher Report is reporting that the 49ers might have an even bigger splash coming as they could be in on a trade for Odell Beckham Jr.

49ers adding Kwon Alexander

After earlier reported interest in the linebacker, the San Francisco 49ers are set to sign free agent Kwon Alexander, per Pro Football Talk. The deal is worth a reported $54 million over four years.

Earl Thomas looking for big money

Earl Thomas may be the class of a deep safety group hitting NFL free agency and he apparently knows it. Jane Slater reported on NFL Network (h/t Marcus Mosher) that the former Seahawks star is looking for a two-year deal worth $30 million.

Bills adding Kevin Johnson to secondary

After the Texans cut former first-round pick cornerback Kevin Johnson earlier this month, the defensive back is now set to sign with the Buffalo Bills, per Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.

Redskins shuffling linebackers

Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Washington Redskins have serious interest in C.J. Mosley, but are also looking for takers to trade for both Zach Brown and Mason Foster. Washington is looking to shake up the linebacker group in the nation’s capital, it appears.

Eagles a Le’Veon Bell dark horse?

Though the Eagles have limited cap space to work with, FanSided’s Matt Verderame reports that Philadelphia has interest in Le’Veon Bell and could be a dark horse in the race for the high-profile running back.

Odell Beckham Jr. trade market alive and well

Per Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the New York Giants are still “involved in trade discussions” that would send wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. out of the Big Apple. After Brown getting traded another superstar receiver could be on the move.

Bills looking into Trey Flowers

Trey Flowers might be the top available pass-rusher in 2019 NFL free agency, and the Buffalo Bills reportedly want a part of that as there have been “some levels of discussion” about acquiring the defensive end, per ESPN’s Josina Anderson.

Eagles re-up Jason Peters on one-year deal

Veteran offensive tackle Jason Peters will continue protecting Carson Wentz in Philadelphia as, per the team’s announcement, they have signed him to a one-year deal for 2019.

Tyrann Mathieu will test free agency waters

After signing a one-year deal with the Houston Texans last offseason, safety Tyrann Mathieu plans on dipping his toe into the NFL free agency pool, per Albert Breer of The MMQB. The Texans offered him a long-term deal worth approximately $9.5 million per year, but the safety wants to test the market.

Raiders make Trent Brown highest-paid OL ever

Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Trent Brown is set to sign with the Raiders on a four-year, $66 million deal with over $30 million in guarantees. The move will put Brown at left tackle for Oakland while moving 2018 first-round pick Kolton Miller over to right tackle.

Bills in on pursuing Frank Gore

Talk about a veteran backfield, the Buffalo Bills are reportedly interested in signing 35-year old running back Frank Gore, per Mike Garafolo on NFL Network. Signing Gore would give Buffalo two running backs north of 30 years old, along with LeSean McCoy, and be an interesting tandem behind Josh Allen.

Malik Jackson heading to Philly?

As first reported by ESPN’s Josina Anderson, the Eagles are “expected to sign” defensive tackle Malik Jackson after he was released by the Jaguars. Adam Schefter adds that the deal is for three years, $30 million. Jackson and Fletcher Cox at tackle, with Tim Jernigan gone, is just nasty.

C.J. Mosley a hot commodity

The Baltimore Ravens chose not to franchise tag linebacker C.J. Mosley, and now the market is going to be wild for the talented player. According to Tom Pelissero on NFL Network, the Jets, Lions, Colts, Eagles and Redskins — in addition to the Ravens looking to re-sign him — will all be vying for the Pro Bowler’s services.

Trent Brown on Oakland’s radar

Now that Antonio Brown is a Raider, Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock are looking to add more beef up front to protect Derek Carr. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Oakland plans to go ofter former 49ers and Patriots offensive tackle Trent Brown, one of the top linemen on the open market. There’s a real need to help a young, developmental offensive line for the Raiders, and Brown could help.

Kwon Alexander, Adam Humphries out of Tampa, both have suitors

Linebacker Kwon Alexander and wide receiver Adam Humphries might be two of the most underrated commodities in 2019 NFL free agency, and both are expected to be somewhere else other than the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, as reported by Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times. Stroud also notes that the Jets are interested in both players while Alexander has interest from the 49ers as well. Mike Garafolo of NFL Network also adds that Alexander has reportedly sent “goodbye” messages to Tampa teammates.

Xavier Rhodes, Trey Waynes drawing trade interest

According to Albert Breer of The MMQB, teams are calling the Minnesota Vikings about a trade for cornerbacks Xavier Rhodes and Trey Waynes. While there’s no deal in place just now and while Minnesota will likely ask for a pretty penny in return, Breer left it open-ended that they could be moved for “the right price.”

The Detroit Patriots Lions will sign Danny Amendola

Following Danny Amendola’s release by the Miami Dolphins, Dianna Russini of ESPN reported that the veteran wide receiver will sign with the Detroit Lions. Lions head coach Matt Patricia adds another former Patriot to his roster.

Tampa Bay looking for DeSean Jackson trade, return to Eagles in play

The Buccaneers face a tough situation with DeSean Jackson and he could be released. However, the team is currently exploring a trade for the veteran speedster wide receiver, according to a report from Jenna Laine and Tim McManus of ESPN. Per that report, the Eagles would be a preferred destination for Jackson, the wideout returning to where he started his career.
