Round 1, Pick 4: Kyler Murray, QB, Oklahoma

The Arizona Cardinals are not drafting Kyler Murray, and if they do general manager Steve Keim deserves to be fired. It takes an extra level of incompetence to trade up, giving up valuable assets, in the draft to draft your quarterback of the future to turn around and bail one year later; an excellent waste of resources.

It would not be a shock to see the Cardinals inevitably turn around and trade the No. 1 overall pick to the Raiders and have been using the media to drive up the price and interest in their pick. Besides, who has ever heard of a head coach going to the NFL Scouting Combine and announcing to the world who their pick is going to be?

NFL Insider Benjamin Allbright has been hinting for a while at the possibility that the Raiders have wanted to pair Antonio Brown, Le’Veon Bell, and Kyler Murray together. While Brown has been added and Bell was missed out on, it would be the most Gruden thing to do to trade up to take Murray.

While the Raiders may hold the No. 1 overall pick when the dust settles, no trades take place in this mock draft, so Murray falls to the them at the fourth pick as the rest of the league calls the Cardinals’ bluff.
