Round 2, Pick 44: Chris Lindstrom, RG, Boston College

The Packers have a glaring need at right guard, which is why selecting Chris Lindstrom with the 44th overall pick makes a ton of sense. Green Bay loves athletic offensive linemen, so Lindstrom would be a perfect candidate in the second round.

At the NFL Combine, Lindstrom showed off his athleticism with a 4.91-second 40-yard dash and 30.5-inch vertical leap, impressive numbers for a man who comes in at 6-4 and 308 pounds. Lindstrom was named a Third-Team All-American by the Associated Press and First-Team All-ACC after starting 12 games at right guard in 2018.

"“Lindstrom is one of the most athletic interior lineman in the 2019 draft with a rare ability to match movement quickness with anyone across from him. His quickness can place him in position to make blocks on both the first and second levels and he has an impressive ability to cover lateral space and protect his gaps as a pass blocker.” – NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein"

Lindstrom would provide ample competition for playing time at right guard, specifically with Green Bay’s newest lineman, Billy Turner. If the Packers were to go this route in the draft, you’d have to think Turner would be the favorite to replace Bryan Bulaga when his contract expires next offseason.
