QB. Oklahoma. Kyler Murray. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 4. player. 28

Remember all of that Kyler Murray buzz and smokescreen? Well reports are out there that Jon Gruden has a really bad poker face and wants the 2018 Heisman Trophy winner. Do not be shocked to see that the Cardinals are driving up interest in their pick to try and get the Oakland Raiders to make a move to the first overall pick.

NFL insider Benjamin Allbright has suggested that the Raiders had a plan to land Le’Veon Bell, Antonio Brown and Murray this offseason as they prepare to move to Las Vegas in another year or two. While Oakland missed out on Bell, they were able to snag Brown and could still be in the hunt for Murray.

The Raiders call the Cardinals bluff and Murray falls to the fourth overall pick and into the lap of Gruden and general manager Mike Mayock. Gruden has not expressed the utmost confidence in current quarterback Derek Carr, and the rumors have not been silenced that the head coach may want his own guy rather than the carryover from the last regime.

Here, with the fourth overall pick, Gruden gets his own guy in the form of the most polarizing player in the entire draft in Murray. Choosing football over baseball pays off for the Oklahoma Sooner as he gets a boatload of guaranteed money as the fourth overall pick.
