3 Reasons Denver Broncos should select Drew Lock at No. 10 pick

3. Flacco isn’t going to be around forever
First off, give the Broncos some credit for realizing after one year that Case Keenum was far from the answer at quarterback after watching the veteran struggle the way he did throughout the 2017 season.

Then again, will Joe Flacco end up being that much better under center since he too is a veteran with maybe one or two good years left in him since the argument can be made his best days are way behind him?
Sadly, it’s tough to determine exactly what Denver was thinking in acquiring Flacco from the Baltimore Ravens other than desperation kicking in once they realized Keenum was a complete bust.
Sure, the Broncos could end up drafting Lock, and have him start right away, but then this would make the Flacco deal look even more foolish from this offseason, so playing the veteran seems to be the best choice at least for now.
Of course, if Denver were to go with Lock at No. 10, at least as a rookie he would be able to learn from Flacco since despite what some football fans believe when it comes to whether he is in fact elite, no one can take away the experience games throughout his career.
