Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah didn’t report to team activities because he expects to be traded, so where could he land in the NFL?

The trade rumors surrounding Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah have been going on all offseason. Moreover, they ramped up even further when the Browns completed the trade for Olivier Vernon, giving them a viable 1-2 punch at defensive end. Now they should start to kick into high gear as Cleveland begins their offseason activities.

On Monday, Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reported that Ogbah did not show up for the Browns’ team activities. However, the most intriguing part of the report is the reason why: The belief is that Ogbah isn’t with the team because he expects to be traded soon. Thus, he ultimately doesn’t see the point in showing up with the rest of his current teammates, and reasonably so.

The Browns have already pulled off two big trades this offseason, and general manager John Dorsey is looking for another with Emmanuel Ogbah. But where could the Oklahoma State product land? Let’s take a look.

Seattle Seahawks

Frank Clark is currently under the franchise tag for the Seattle Seahawks, planning to hold out if a new long-term deal isn’t reached. Chances are, Seattle will do what they can to try and get that deal done. No matter the outcome of the Clark situation, though, Pete Carroll’s team needs to find more help on defense, specifically in regards to their edge-rushing depth.

The dirty secret about the Seahawks, however, is that they don’t have a ton of draft capital to operate with currently. As such, they need to use their top picks to address many needs. Edge rusher is among them, but if they could use a mid-to-late-round pick to address the need via a trade for Ogbah, their first-rounder could be used to help them elsewhere on the roster.

Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams saw the need at edge rusher last season and made a trade for Dante Fowler. While the former Jaguar gave them a slight boost off the edge around Aaron Donald and now-free agent Ndamukong Suh, he wasn’t a game-changer by any stretch. Moving forward as they still have a championship window under Sean McVay, they need to make splashes to try and win a Super Bowl.

Ogbah may not be a game-changing talent on his own, but he could boost their rotation. With Fowler back in Los Angeles, pairing him and Ogbah as the edge pass rushers in Wade Phillips’ defense could be a huge boom for the Rams on that side of the ball. This isn’t a team that should be worrying about compensation too much, but rather about getting top talent however they possibly can.

Oakland Raiders

In case you didn’t know, the Oakland Raiders aren’t opposed to wheeling and dealing. Last year, they traded Khalil Mack before the start of the season and dealt Amari Cooper away ahead of the deadline. Meanwhile, they traded for Antonio Brown this offseason, boosting their receiving corps under Jon Gruden and new general manager Mike Mayock. Now they could go after Emmanuel Ogbah, who would fill a need.

While Ogbah hasn’t lived up to his draft stock, the current Browns rusher could play on the edge for the Raiders and address a glaring hole. With Mack out and Bruce Irvin gone, Oakland truly has nothing to speak of off the edge right now and it is arguably their biggest need remaining this offseason. As such, they would be well served to try and get a young piece and mold Ogbah into a serviceable player at that position.
