57. Philadelphia Eagles: Terry McLaurin, WR, Ohio State

A deadline deal last season gave the Eagles Golden Tate for the final eight games. He wasn’t retained but the fact that they made the move shows Philadelphia is in the market for someone to help open up the offense. That player could end up being Terry McLaurin, the Ohio State wideout who proved to be a great option as a deep threat. McLaurin had 11 touchdowns in his final season while averaging an impressive 20 yards per reception.

58. Dallas Cowboys: Johnathan Abram, S, Mississippi State

After taking some heat to start free agency, the Dallas Cowboys front office has really come on strong. They landed Randall Cobb, Robert Quinn, and Christian Covington to fill many of their holes. Their best signing though was George Iloka who will start at strong safety in 2019. Those moves allow them to go best player available and right now it will likely come down to Johnathan Abram or Jachai Polite. Abram ends up being the pick and will be the long-term answer to the strong safety position.

59. Indianapolis Colts: Jachai Polite, EDGE, Florida

After mentioning Jachai Polite as an option for the Cowboys, he ends up being picked here by the Colts. Polite was great in 2018 but there are questions about his attitude and willingness to be coached. On top of that, he had some really rough workouts including a horrendous 40-yard dash time at his pro day. Even so, he’s got first-round potential which is why Indy rolls the dice.

60. Los Angeles Chargers: Jeffery Simmons, DT, Mississippi State

Speaking of rolling the dice, the Chargers do this as they add Mississippi State defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons. One of the more impressive interior defenders, Simmons tore his ACL while training this offseason and slides late into the second round because of it. He’s likely out for his whole rookie season but will give them quite a boost once healthy.
