San Francisco 49ers: 7-Round 2019 mock draft with 20 days to go
By Cory Kinnan
Round 1, Pick 2: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State
Shocker. With the second pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, the 49ers select Nick Bosa, edge rusher out of Ohio State. This pick is as locked in as Kyler Murray to the Cardinals. The Niners have had their sights set on Bosa since day-one, and that has not changed as we sit 20 days away from the first round of the draft.

Even after missing most of the 2018 season with an abdominal injury, Bosa is far and away the best edge rushing prospect in terms of technical skills and use of his hands. In addition, he tested better than his brother Joey Bosa did at the combine in 2016, who ended up going third overall to the then San Diego Chargers. It looks as though Nick will hold the bragging rights over his brother, going one pick earlier.
The Niners wasted no time revamping their defense that struggled in 2018 and look ready to go all in this upcoming season.
Now with Ford and Bosa off of the edge and Arik Armstead, DeForest Buckner, and Solomon Thomas all along the defensive line for the 49ers, San Francisco may be able to lay claim to the best defensive front in the entire NFL.
