Round 4, Pick 124: Mike Jackson, CB, Miami

Although the Seahawks found Flowers in the fifth round of last year’s draft and have Shaquill Griffin on the roster already, they may need an upgrade in order to add depth at the cornerback position. After a solid rookie season, Griffin took a step back in 2018 and, if he does not bounce back, Seattle could be looking to move on.

Mike Jackson out of the University of Miami has tested well this offseason and has improved his draft stock over the past few months. At the combine, Jackson ran a quick 4.45-second 40 yard dash, hit 40.5 inches on his vertical jump, and over 10 feet on his broad jump. He measured in at 6-0 and 210 pounds, proving he has the size to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage.

Jackson jumped onto the scene in 2017 after he picked off four passes and knocked down an additional four balls. He took a small step back this year with no interceptions, but knocked down six passes still this past season.

Even if Flowers and Griffin play well, Jackson has the agility to fill in at nickel, a hole left open when Justin Coleman darted for the Detroit Lions in free agency. The Seahawks could add a tremendous amount of value with their fourth round selection in Jackson.
