Trade with Raiders: Arizona receives No. 4 and 35 overall picks for No. 1

Round 1 (via OAK): Jonah Williams, OL, Alabama

The Oakland Raiders make Arizona an offer that they can not refuse. Arizona moves down to the fourth spot to select an offensive lineman. They select Jonah Williams from Alabama.

At Alabama, Williams started every game for three seasons. He played 29 games at left tackle and 15 at right tackle. Williams could help at either position to protect Rosen. Williams stands 6-4, weighing 302 pounds, per his NFL Combine measurements.

Lance Zierlein of NFL.com gives an overview of Williams:

"Early entrant and three-year starter whose work ethic, attention to detail and desire to get better each day have made him a foundation piece of Alabama’s dominant run. … he has the tools necessary to counter bigger, longer edge defenders … His cerebral nature and potential versatility should make him a safe pick and successful, long-time starter in the NFL."

Arizona makes the right choice to select Williams. He gives the team a solid tackle, either left or right. Most of all, he received professional grade coaching at Alabama and played for national championships each year.

Arizona will receive an additional draft pick from Oakland. They get the Raiders’ 2019 second round pick at No. 35.
