WR Cody Thompson, Toledo

Toledo receiver Cody Thompson is the ideal late-round sleeper teams will be looking for. Thompson has the pedigree (five years of experience at Toledo) and athletic profile teams seek when evaluating potential draft gems.

Thompson is an athletic freak who showed out at the NFL Combine. Although his 40-yard dash wasn’t blazing fast (4.57 seconds), his other results were other-worldly for the receiver position. His vertical jump (38.5 inches), broad jump (119 inches), 3-cone drill time (6.87 seconds), bench press (19 reps) and short-shuttle time (4.03 seconds) all place him near the top for his position.

"“Natural-born pass catcher with soft hands, quality routes and advanced feel for body positioning and control. Thompson is praised by teammates and coaches for his level of preparation that has resulted in solid college production.” – NFL.com’s Lance Zierlein"

The Packers have already had a pre-draft visit with Thompson, indicating there may some interest on their part. Thompson has the ability to play a role in the slot, something Green Bay desperately needs with the departure of Randall Cobb this offseason. He should be available in the fifth round. Thompson had 181 catches for 3,312 yards and 30 touchdowns at Toledo.
