Round 3, Pick 68: Ben Banogu, EDGE, TCU

The Jets are also in need of a pass rusher, meaning they could also look to Josh Allen with their third overall pick. However the talent on the defensive side of the ball in this draft class is much deeper than that on the offensive side of the ball. With that being said, after missing out on a second round pick, the Jets land pass rusher Ben Banogu from TCU in the third round.

The Jets had no players in double-digit sacks, and did not add a pass rusher in free agency. Banogu has seen his draft stock skyrocket since the combine and now looks like a day-two lock.

At the combine Banogu measured in at 6-3 and 250 pounds, running a 4.62-second 40-yard dash with explosive splits at the 10 and 20 yard mark. He also displayed elite explosiveness, leaping to the tune of 40 inches on his vertical jump, and over 11 feet on his broad jump. Banogu also tested well on his agility drills, rounding out his great weekend in Indianapolis.

The Jets get a dynamic pass rusher here in the third round by selecting Banogu with the 68th overall pick in the draft. With the help of Banogu, the Big Apple may finally get a double-digit sack threat.
