NFL teams are not afraid to spend big and trade up if they feel like the right quarterback prospect is available. We have watched it happen many times and I could see it happening again this year. In this 2019 NFL mock draft, the Denver Broncos are the team to pay the price, coming up to the third pick from No. 10 to select Ohio State quarterback Dwayne Haskins. The New York Jets are known to be shopping this pick, making this a logical draft day trade.

Haskins only started one season at Ohio State, but he showed big-time ability from the start. He has a legitimate NFL arm, showing the ability to make any throw on the field with velocity. He is accurate to all levels of the field and shows a strong ability to read opposing defenses.

Haskins senses pressure in the pocket well and shows solid mobility inside the pocket. He is not a guy who is going to break the pocket and create with his legs, but he understands how much time he has and can create an extra second or two at times.

The Broncos have been looking for their franchise signal caller for a long time and have an opportunity to find him if they are prepared to get aggressive. Haskins is a talented and confident quarterback prospect who can grow into a legitimate franchise player with proper coaching and the right talent around him.

There is plenty of risk here, but if the Broncos were to hit with Haskins, nobody will care what they gave up. If they believe in his ability under center, this should be an easy decision.
