Another Interior Offensive Lineman

The Browns showed their love for second-year guard Austin Corbett when they traded away high-priced guard Kevin Zeitler as part of the Olivier Vernon deal. If John Dorsey is really this high on Corbett as a player, he needs to show it during this draft.

More from NFL Spin Zone

The Browns do not need another guard if they really like Corbett this much, and especially at the No. 49 spot, there are bigger needs that Cleveland’s front office has to fill.

Across from Corbett play center J.C. Tretter and Joel Bitonio, one of the best guards in the game. Corbett had a fantastic opportunity as a rookie, learning from both Bitonio and Zeitler, two of the best interior offensive linemen in the league. Now, he will have a chance to shine, as long as the Browns actually start him.

Aside from just Corbett, the Browns picked up multiple offensive linemen during the offseason in the form of Kendall Lamm and Eric Kush. Cleveland’s strength was on the offensive line during the second half of 2018, and they quite frankly just have bigger needs this time around than to add another lineman to the mix.

Check to see if Austin Corbett can play first, and then go about adding more if needed.
