Round 2: Kahale Warring, TE, San Diego State

The Jaguars add a tight end to the aerial attack. Kahale Warring is the second round pick. Foles loves to throw to tight ends. Expect the Jaguars to expand the role of tight ends in the Jaguars passing game.

In college, Warring caught 51 passes for 637 yards with eight touchdowns. He averaged a whopping 12.5 yards per catch. Warring is able to move the chains for first downs. He stands 6-5, weighing 252 pounds. He gives Foles a big target on seam routes downfield. Warring ran a swift 4.67-second 40-yard dash at the Combine. He is physically similar to former Jaguars tight end Marcedes Lewis.

The Jaguars could utilize Warring as a slot receiver. His size would create a mismatch with opposing defensive backs. Expect Foles to throw fade routes to him in goal-line situations.

Zierlein of NFL.com reports the following:

"… he has the size, speed and athleticism to become a versatile, high-impact player on the pro level. He has the competitiveness to handle run-blocking duties and the talent to line up in the slot…"

Have the Jaguars found their Gronk type of tight end? He would pay high dividends in the John DeFilippo style of offense.
