Back in 2016 and with DeMarco Murray in the backfield, the Tennessee Titans rolled up the third-most rushing yards in the league. The veteran performer got plenty of help from an offensive front that played solid football throughout the year and was being lauded as one of the better units in the league.

But the play up front hasn’t necessarily been stellar as of late. In 2016, the group was led by tackles Taylor Lewan and Jack Conklin, the latter the club’s first-round pick that year. The season-long starter earned All-Pro honors during his debut campaign. Guards Quinton Spain and Josh Kline flanked reliable center Ben Jones.

This past year, Jones and Kline were 16-game starters while Lewan and Spain were in the opening lineup 15 times. Meanwhile, Conklin suffered a knee injury that limited him to only nine games and he would finish 2018 on injured reserve.

As for those guard spots, Spain is now a member of the Buffalo Bills after the Titans added former Rams’ stalwart Rodger Saffold. Kline was released by the team this offseason and latched on with the Minnesota Vikings. So could Jon Robinson add a veteran like well-traveled Patrick Omameh to this unit? The 29-year old pro has played for four different teams in five seasons and a year ago started a combined 11 games for the Giants (5) and Jaguars (6).
