3. Wide Receiver
The Packers have one of the brightest young receivers in the NFL in Davante Adams. But take Adams away and Green Bay is left with a bunch of No. 3’s and 4’s. The departure of Randall Cobb this offseason left a massive hole — not only in the slot, but on the receiver depth chart.

Although the Packers brought back veteran Geronimo Allison on a one-year tender, Green Bay’s depth is filled with inexperienced players behind him. Marquez Valdes-Scantling and Equanimeous St. Brown showed plenty of promise as rookies, but neither showed enough to be the team’s future No. 2.
J’Mon Moore, Jake Kumerow and Trevor Davis are the other three favorites to make the final roster in September. Moore saw the field exclusively as a special-teamer in his rookie year after a disappointing preseason, Kumerow has been an NFL journeyman his entire career and Davis is almost exclusively a kick returner.
It’s probably unlikely that general manager Brian Gutekunst would bring in a free agent receiver at this point in the offseason. After not drafting a receiver, it appears the Packers will likely roll with what they’ve got on the roster. It’ll be up to one of Moore, St. Brown or Valdes-Scantling to take a giant second-year leap. The biggest wild card is Allen Lazard, a former undrafted free agent signed originally by the Jaguars last offseason.
