The Green Bay Packers strengthened their roster in a big way during the 2019 NFL Draft. Here’s an updated look at the Packers’ current 90-man roster.

There’s an argument to be made the Green Bay Packers came away with one of the strongest performances of the 2019 NFL Draft. The talent added in both free agency and the draft helped shape a mini-rebuild on defense, bolstering Green Bay’s roster in a way that hasn’t been done in several years.

Key additions at pass rusher included Za’Darius Smith, Preston Smith and Rashan Gary. Adrian Amos and Darnell Savage Jr. were excellent gets at safety. Dexter Williams helps to shore up depth at running back. Billy Turner and Elgton Jenkins both bring positional versatility to the offensive line. And Jace Sternberger appears to be the tight end of the future.

All these moves helped shape the Packers’ current 90-man roster. By my count, the Packers currently have all 90 spaces filled. Of those 90 players, 20 are rookies – 12 of which are undrafted rookie free agents. Four of the 90 players were free agent signings from this past spring.

Looking up and down their current roster, there doesn’t seem to be many holes other than lack of depth at linebacker, safety and receiver. It seems the Packers will be counting on youth to help fill-in when needed at all three positions. Of course, it’s not out of the realm of possibility general manager Brian Gutekunst signs a late free agent. But for now, here’s the latest version of Green Bay’s 90-man roster:

Looking at the roster as presently constructed shows some intriguing positional battles that could take place in training camp, namely at receiver, both guard spots, running back and on the defensive line. One thing’s for certain, though, the Packers definitely have a stronger squad (on paper) than in 2018.
