3. Kendall Sheffield

Once again, we saw the Quinn-Dimitroff duo take one of the NFL Draft’s most raw, but insanely talented players in the NFL Draft: Kendall Sheffield, a defensive back from The Ohio State University.

More from NFL Spin Zone

While the former Buckeye may not be in line for serious minutes at cornerback for the first part of the season, I definitely believe Quinn will find every way imaginable to get him on the field.

Aren’t taking my word for it? Here’s what Will McFadden from AtlantaFalcons.com had to say about the young defensive speedster:

"Sheffield’s speed alone makes him a tantalizing prospect. He possesses not only the long-range speed to track receivers vertically, but he also has some quick-twitch qualities and breaks on receivers fairly quickly. In the Falcons’ defensive scheme that ability to bring a receiver down where he catches the ball is especially important."

There are a lot of reports out there on Sheffield that he’s not very fundamentally sound, and that may be true. However, we’ve learned over the years that Quinn’s direct influence can pay huge dividends for his guys on defense. The Atlanta Falcons head coach will be all in coaching the defense this year, which means Sheffield will definitely get a plethora of solid coaching.

If Sheffield can adjust to the NFL game quickly, this guy could become a serious playmaker for Atlanta.
