Jerry Jeudy, Alabama

A whole lot can change before draft day in 2020, but Jerry Jeudy is the clear favorite as the top overall wide receiver prospect. And if the NFL Draft was today, you could make a great argument for Jeudy being one of the top five overall prospects in the entire draft class.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Standing at 6-1 and 192 pounds, Jeudy sports a long, lean frame that has a ton of potential growth in the future. Silky smooth in and out of his breaks, Jeudy also demonstrates top-notch deep speed to threaten defenses at all levels of the field.

While it was fun to watch Tagovailoa sling the ball 40-plus yards down the field this past season, it was perhaps even more awe-inspiring witnessing the separation Jeudy was able to create with such little wasted motion. Arguably the most elite trait for Jeudy’s profile is just how effortless he is able to get in and out of the breaks once he has the football in his hands.

His quick stop-start ability has been responsible for more than a couple highlights with defenders grasping for air while Jeudy accelerates into another direction. It is apparent after every viewing of Jeudy that he was clearly a hot commodity when being selected for dodgeball as a kid. You know what they say, if you can dodge an SEC defender, you can dodge a ball.

Again, it is a long way off but it is hard to envision a scenario (injuries aside) that we don’t see Jerry Jeudy being selected within the top 5-10 selections in the 2020 NFL Draft, with what is an upside that just may not have a ceiling within sight. Oh, and if that weren’t enough, the Deerfield Beach product is still only 20 years old.
