9. Week 11 vs. Denver Broncos

The Vikings and Denver Broncos have been linked since last spring. Both squads were in the running for free agent quarterback Kirk Cousins before he signed with the Vikings. The Broncos subsequently, signed Case Keenum, who is now gone.

The Broncos also brought in former Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Vic Fangio to be their head coach in the 2019 offseason. He is familiar with the Vikings, having spent the last four seasons in the division.

Denver has an elite pass rush duo in Von Miller and Bradley Chubb. They will present a huge test for the new-look offensive line of the Minnesota Vikings. Furthermore, the Broncos are built very similarly to Vikings teams of the past. They have a stellar defense with questions along the offensive line hindering success.

However, the Broncos do not pose as much of a threat as they would have in years past. This will be a home game for the Vikings, and Denver may have a rookie under center by then. Drew Lock will likely sit behind Joe Flacco at first but his number could be called if Flacco struggles.

Denver is an AFC opponent with a lot of holes that is coming off a poor season. If you can only watch one game — or a handful this season — you may want to find something else. The Vikings lost the previous matchup, 23-20, back in 2015.
