Notable Additions and Departures

As the product of a whirlwind offseason, the Browns will have plenty of new faces coming through their doors this season. But first, we must talk about the departures from Cleveland for a couple of key players from 2018 and earlier.

More from NFL Spin Zone

In April, the Browns traded away defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah to the Kansas City Chiefs, picking up backup safety Eric Murray in return. The Browns also cut linebacker Jamie Collins in March as one of their first moves of the offseason.

In terms of key additions, the Browns will have a totally new look on both sides of the ball this season. With Freddie Kitchens taking over as head coach, the Browns will look different even from the sidelines in 2019. Kitchens brought former Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Todd Monken on for the same position in Cleveland, as well as former Cardinals head coach Steve Wilks as defensive coordinator.

For a team that was bereft of talent just two years ago, the Browns look loaded on offense this season. Adding Odell Beckham Jr., along with the signing of former Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt, has given the Browns a whole new look on offense.

Reuniting Beckham Jr. with his best friend, Jarvis Landry, could provide for some great instant chemistry on the offensive attack. The Browns are fully rejuvenated and, although the team isn’t a finished product, adding so much talent is certainly promising.
