Notable Additions and Departures

Miami has cleared out their quarterback room. Ryan Tannehill signed with the Tennessee Titans. The Dolphins added two quarterbacks in hopes of finding the right guy for the moment.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Ryan Fitzpatrick was signed as a free agent to a two year deal worth $11 million, according to spotrac.com. Fitzpatrick brings veteran experience to Miami. Also, he brings a little attitude that has built up throughout his career.

The Dolphins acquired Josh Rosen from Arizona in a trade during the past NFL Draft. Rosen became available as Arizona took Kyler Murray with the first overall pick of the draft. He started 13 games as a rookie last season.

Miami lost their leading rusher and receiver from last season. Frank Gore rushed for 722 yards while averaging 4.6 yards per carry. Danny Amendola caught 59 passes for 575 yards to average 9.7 yards per catch. Gore signed with Buffalo and Amendola signed to play in Detroit.

Miami lost a defensive cornerstone in Cameron Wake. He relentlessly pursued opposing quarterbacks. His six sacks and seventeen quarterback hits will be sorely missed.

Most of all, Ja’Waun James signed with Denver. Miami will have to find a new right tackle to replace James. Hopefully, Isaiah Prince will be ready to play as a rookie.
