5. Buffalo Bills, Week 9 (Oct. 3)

I almost put the Miami Dolphins in this spot (Week 6, Sunday), but decided against it. The reason for the Dolphins would’ve been simple: Josh Rosen. The Washington Redskins were one of the names linked to Rosen the most this offseason. Instead, they drafted Dwayne Haskins and the Arizona Cardinals traded Rosen to the Dolphins. However, it’s unclear if he’s even going to be starting over Ryan Fitzpatrick

Therefore, I went with another second-year quarterback. The Buffalo Bills drafted Josh Allen in the first-round of the 2017 NFL Draft. Although he didn’t exactly light it up, Allen did show potential and admittedly looked better than I thought he would. Yes, the consistency and accuracy need major improvements but the arm talent is there and he’s an absolute athlete.

This Week 9 matchup is also a great measuring stick for the Redskins and Dwayne Haskins. The Bills are a team that many could consider on the up. They have a young quarterback and some nice pieces on the roster. If Washington is using Haskins at this point, it will be fun to see how he stacks up to another young quarterback who has a little more NFL experience under his belt.

Haskins on the field for this one is more intriguing when considering the Bills defense. Buffalo had one of the best defenses in the NFL last season and actually gave up the fewest passing yards in 2018. It will be a good test for whatever quarterback gets the nod — even if it’s not Haskins.

As a plus, this definitely appears one of the more “winnable” games on the Redskins schedule at the moment, even with it being at Buffalo. If you’re a Redskins fan, you definitely want to watch games they could win.
