5. Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi, WR/PR

Damon Sheehy-Guiseppi is the feel-good story of the NFL preseason already. He finessed his way into a tryout with the Cleveland Browns and, after two years away from competitive football, still had the physical gifts to impress coaches enough to earn a contract. Now he’s in the preseason trying to become one of the longest possible shots to make the 53-man roster. He certainly showed a little bit on Thursday night.

The former NJCAA All-American didn’t get much offensive production, taking four targets and turning them into two catches for 12 yards. However, he made his mark with an 86-yard punt return touchdown — his first live punt return in a football game in three years. Even better was the celebration that ensued as the bench cleared to cheer on the special moment.

4. Trevon Coley, DT

After going undrafted in 2016 out of Florida Atlantic, Trevon Coley has been with the Browns since late in 2016 and has been getting regular-season snaps since the 2017 season. For a team that needs defensive line depth behind Larry Ogunjobi and Sheldon Richardson, though, Coley has the opportunity to really prove himself and carve out a valuable rotational role if he can be effective in Cleveland’s preseason tilts.

Though he finished the game with just one tackle, it was a tackle in the backfield for a loss and he also added a quarterback hit on the night. Watching the action, though, Coley was getting good pressure throughout the night and showed that he has some value for this team that, again, really needs someone in the defensive tackle group to step up and into a rotational role.
