3. Colts can offer money Elliott wants
Between Gurley receiving a hefty four-year $60 million extension last summer from the Los Angeles Rams to Bell signing with the New York Jets for $52.5 million, it’s easy to understand some of the frustration on Elliott’s end.

With the kind of impact Elliott has been able to make on offense for the Cowboys over the last three years along with helping them win the NFC East two of the last three seasons, it’s tough to imagine where this Dallas offense would be without him.
Of course, just because Elliott believes he deserves a hefty new contract doesn’t necessarily mean the Cowboys can afford to give in to his demands since other players such as Dak Prescott and Amari Cooper are looking for new deals as well.
Believe it or not, the Colts are one of the top contenders in the NFL with a huge advantage over most teams since they have the kind of cap space to pay Elliott the kind of hefty deal he’s been fighting for.
While there’s no telling how much Indianapolis would be willing to spend, it’s still great to at least have the option to consider since if this were to somehow happen, it could take the Colts’ offense to new levels.
