After 16 seasons with Marvin Lewis as the coach, the Cincinnati Bengals are turning things over to Zac Taylor. A former quarterback coach with the Rams, there wasn’t much known about Taylor heading into the preseason but we now are starting to see his offense in action.

The running game hasn’t been very strong yet but the receivers are loving the passing game. Taylor has been getting great reviews from his pass-catchers as they believe you can succeed as long as you buy-in.

"“A lot of moving parts and getting open in different areas. It fits anybody and everybody. You just have to be in the right position and you can succeed in this offense. Zac is really good and the coaches surrounding him are getting the details down.” — Cody Core said via Geoff Hobson of the team’s official website"

Cincinnati is also hoping to make progress on defense. They have a lot of young talent and also made a move away from linebacker Vontaze Burfict who has been a great player but has a propensity for drawing personal fouls.

Time will tell if Taylor will succeed, but so far the players are buying in and that’s a huge part of the battle for any coach — especially a young one.
