28. . Quarterback. Alabama. Tua Tagovailoa. 2. player

Yes, the Oakland Raiders have Derek Carr and there are plenty who believe that head coach Jon Gruden believes in him as the face of the franchise. And maybe he really does — but that could change.

Carr had some success early on in his career and won 12 games in 106 for the Raiders. However, he hasn’t replicated that success and has won just 10 games in the past two seasons while losing 21. Should he continue to finish under .500 (and especially if they do end up with the second overall pick), there’s a strong possibility that Gruden does decide to move on.

Making that an even more likely scenario here is the fact that Chase Young went first overall, leaving every quarterback remaining for Oakland. That leads to them selecting Tua Tagovailoa out of Alabama.

The southpaw has done nothing but win for the Crimson Tide and showed great accuracy from the moment he stepped on the field. As a sophomore, he completed 69 percent of his passes for 3,966 yards with a remarkable 43-to-6 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Gruden and the Raiders would be able to make him the new face of the franchise and could sell the hope he brings to their new fan base when they do finally relocate to Las Vegas.
