  • New York Jets: 9-7
  • Buffalo Bills: 6-10
  • Miami Dolphins: 2-14

The New England Patriots will win the division again — with some resistance from the New York Jets. Gang Green may actually pull off an upset against the defending champions in Weeks 3 or 7. Still, head coach Bill Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady capture their 11th consecutive AFC East title.

The Patriots are the gold standard, but the Jets should take a significant step forward in quarterback Sam Darnold‘s sophomore campaign with running back Le’Veon Bell in the backfield and wideout Robby Anderson primed for a breakout third term.

The Buffalo Bills remain stagnant at 6-10 with an offensive line featuring four new faces. Although the front office upgraded the talent in that group, the unit needs time to jell for optimal results in pass protection and run blocking. Above all, quarterback Josh’s Allen’s accuracy remains a question mark after he completed 52.8 percent of his passes last year.

The Miami Dolphins dealt their franchise left tackle Laremy Tunsil, and quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick will open the season under center, which sounds like a recipe for disaster. Hence, this club finishes 2-14 and secures the top pick in the 2020 draft. If Josh Rosen takes over the huddle late in the year, he’ll do it in audition mode to land in a better spot next offseason.
