3. DT Roy-Robertson-Harris

It was hard to ignore the early impact one of the Chicago Bears’ young defensive linemen had in the eventual seven-point loss to Green Bay. Roy Robertson-Harris began his third NFL season on the field with an impressive showing on Thursday night.

The 6-5, 292-pound performer was not in the starting lineup vs. Matt LaFleur’s squad. But he would finish the evening with three tackles, one sack and a pair of hits on Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Two of Robertson-Harris’ three stops were for losses. Early in the game, Green Bay tried to run inside and laterally against the Chicago defense and the third-year defender was up to the task.

Robertson-Harris was part of a unit that would finish with five sacks while limiting the Packers to a mere 213 total yards. A year ago, he played all 16 games for Matt Nagy’s squad without making a start. This after appearing in 13 contests in 2017. He finished with 22 stops and three sacks while knocking down a pair of passes. He adds depth to a defensive front that includes Akiem Hicks and Eddie Goldman.

Could Robertson-Harris be in the starting lineup sooner than later? The 26-year old defender and former undrafted performer from UTEP certainly opened some eyes on Thursday night.
