Oakland Raiders: 3 Reasons team is better off without Antonio Brown
By Steve Rivera
3. No Antonio Brown, no drama
The fact is, Antonio Brown brought a level of drama that could not be kept up with. It was a bad dose of reality TV that left fans queasy, knowing that things would go south at any moment.

Things went south and did so rather quickly. With the Raiders preparing for a suspension that could lead to an absolute banishment, spirits should be high that a resolution is near.
It’s needed. Brown has become a distraction no team, even one you hate should have to endure. AB is the kind of acquisition that is nice to flirt with, but an albatross to deal with in the aftermath. Worse for the Raiders is they actually catered to his whims, his ego and his desire to not play football.
Credit the Raiders for rolling the dice. They wanted to make a splash and they did. Unfortunately, it’ll leave a mark. Cutting the cord now only helps Oakland. They need to be rid of a growing team cancer that gained strength and needless attention daily.
The best thing about finding out now is the ability to settle into a season where AB won’t darken it any longer. Gruden and company can move forward without his ghost moving forward.
