2. Andrew Thomas, Georgia

There may not be a better offensive line technician in this year’s class of tackles than Georgia’s Andrew Thomas. He is listed at the same height and weight as Wirfs at 6-5 and 320 pounds, and the gap between them is not wide. If the Browns were able to land either of these two tackles, it would be a huge win for them and for Baker Mayfield.

Thomas is, however, much more decorated than Wirfs, being named to SI.com’s 2018 All-American first team, the AP All-American second team, and the All-SEC coaches first team. Even as a freshman, Thomas was named to the All-American freshman team by ESPN, USA Today, and the Football Writers Association of America.

He is not flashy in anything he does, but is extremely consistent and gets the dirty work done for the Bulldogs. He is also entering his third year as a starting left tackle in the SEC, so Thomas is as battle-tested as a collegiate offensive lineman will come.

If the Browns can see him slip a bit to their draft position or if they make a move up the draft board to nab him, then Thomas could go from blocking for Jake Fromm to protecting the Browns’ franchise quarterback Mayfield.
