1. Tristen Wirfs, Iowa

While most will have Andrew Thomas from the University of Georgia listed as their top tackle, it will be tough to find a better pass blocker in this year’s draft class than Tristen Wirfs from the University of Iowa. Wirfs landed with the Browns in this mock draft that I did before the first week of the season last week.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Wirfs is listed at 6-5 and 320 pounds and has yet to turn 21 years old as he plays out his junior year for the Hawkeyes. He is entering his third year as a significant contributor for Iowa after starting every game last year as a sophomore and seeing time in ten games as a true freshman as well.

Despite being only 20 years old, Wirfs has the experience of a seasoned veteran, which should help his learning curve to the next level as well. After earning All-Big 10 Honorable Mention honors last year, he looks to increase his stock in 2019, and he is already off to a great start.

In the first two weeks of the college football season, Wirfs has graded out as the top tackle in the country according to Pro Football Focus (subscription required). Getting Wirfs into the brown and orange would give the Browns a significant boost across their offensive front as he is likely already better than Chris Hubbard.
