5. Adam Gase

It’s not often a head coach in the first year of a new job finds himself on the hot seat after one game, but this deserves to be the case for Adam Gase since his previous job with the Miami Dolphins made it seem like he didn’t deserve a head coaching job in the NFL.

What was even more surprising is how Gase ended up on another team within the division, as the Jets would love nothing more than to see their new head coach help the team become a playoff contender in the AFC once again.

While this may very well still turn out to be the case in 2019 for New York, the team certainly didn’t get off to a great start in Week 1 after what seemed like an easy win resulted in the Jets coming up short against the Buffalo Bills.

At the end of the day, there is no way to defend what happened to the Jets since they should have been able to hold the Bills off, and now the pressure is on with New York preparing for a Monday night battle against the Cleveland Browns.

If the Jets fail to come through once again when taking on the Browns in front of a national audience, it will result in Gase being an easy candidate for this list heading into Week 3.
