4. Alexander picks off Cousins

The Minnesota Vikings aren’t going to get away with letting Kirk Cousins only throw the ball 10 times against the Packers like they did when they were up against the Falcons. Atlanta had no answer for the Vikings run game, which won’t be the case against Green Bay. The Packers will indubitably make Cousins try and beat them on Sunday afternoon.

While I believe in Cousins’ talent overall, he’s still a mistake-prone player — especially up against the pressure and coverage that the Packers can bring. When under duress, he’s liable to try and force a throw into the area of Jaire Alexander to get the ball to Stefon Diggs or Adam Thielen. Alexander, who is emerging as an elite corner in the league already, will make Cousins pay and nab his first interception of the 2019 season.

3. MVS has a 100-yard day

After a down 2018 season, Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes looked back to his elite play in Week 1 as he locked down Julio Jones, limiting the Falcons star receiver to six catches (on 11 targets) for just 31 yards, even if he got a touchdown in garbage time. As such, you can expect Davante Adams to get similar treatment on Sunday as the Vikings will look to take him out of the game.

However, Marquez Valdes-Scantling will have a less fearsome matchup and showed in Week 1 that he’s primed for a big year, catching four balls for 52 yards and leading the Packers in receiving. With Adams largely being held in check, expect Rodgers to look the way of his No. 2 wide receiver more in this game and ultimately earn Valdes-Scantling a career day.
