2. Philadelphia Eagles

Things have not started out great for the Philadelphia Eagles through the first two weeks of the 2019 campaign, specifically as it pertains to the secondary. That group was torched right out of the gate in Week 1 by Case Keenum and the Redskins, forcing Carson Wentz and Co. to orchestrate a comeback. Meanwhile, the Falcons duo of Calvin Ridley and Julio Jones owned the Eagles secondary in primetime in Week 2.

There are notable names in the Eagles cornerback group right now, specifically with Ronald Darby, Sidney Jones and Rasul Douglas. However, all three of those top players on this roster have not been consistent for this team. That has put Philly in a number of holes and, as such, put pressure on the offense to be near perfect in many cases.

Philadelphia’s roster is one of the best in the league at full strength. But if there’s one thing that the roster is lacking, it’s top-end talent at cornerback. Therefore, it stands to reason that a trade for Jalen Ramsey would answer that question about this team.

If there’s one issue about the Eagles trading for Ramsey, it’s the salary cap. The good news there, though, is that Howie Roseman has proven to be a wizard with making moves that improve this Philly team work somehow. He could certainly do that here, especially if he can address his team’s biggest weakness with an elite player.
