NFL Power Rankings, Week 3: Cowboys, Ravens silence critics, Saints lose Brees

32. Miami Dolphins (32)
If anyone in the front office of the Miami Dolphins could look someone in the eyes and say they’re not completely tanking this season, they could be nominated for an Oscar. This team has completely punted on this season as they’re trying to secure the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

That leaves the question of whether or not they are doing that to land a quarterback such as Tua Tagovailoa, or if they want to use that pick to secure a massive package from someone else and turn their offense over to Josh Rosen. The UCLA product was taken 10th overall by Arizona last season and landed in Miami in exchange for a second-round pick, so they could see him as the answer.
Either way, there’s no reason to think they’re going to make any noise this season. They’re now 0-2 after being shut out by the New England Patriots and next week won’t be any easier as they head to Arlington, Texas to take on the Dallas Cowboys who are off to a strong 2-0 start on the season.
With all that being said, head coach Brian Flores hopefully got some guarantees in his contract that this season won’t count against him. Because this team is bad and the rumor that they may trade Minkah Fitzpatrick means they could get even worse.
