2. New England Patriots (2)

This could very well be the most impressive team the New England Patriots have had since their 2007 campaign when Tom Brady had Randy Moss and Wes Welker which led them going 16-0 in the regular season. Now, Brady has arguably even more weapons with Antonio Brown, Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, Sony Michel, and even Phillip Dorsett who has been a great find for them after not catching on with the Colts.

Brady, who is now 42 years old, is playing like a guy 10 years younger and is thoroughly enjoying all the playmakers he now has. However, he hardly needed them this Sunday as they just picked apart the Miami Dolphins and the defense didn’t even allow them to score — and actually had two touchdowns of their own as Stephon Gilmore and Jamie Collins each had pick-sixes in the fourth quarter.

That led to the Patriots spending the majority of the game just killing the clock, which is exactly what we all expected in this game. Miami is a mess and New England did what good teams are supposed to do to teams that are this bad.

As for the remainder of the season, all eyes will be on the NFL’s investigation into Antonio Brown. The eccentric wide receiver was accused of some pretty heinous crimes and the league is looking into it — while considering putting him on the exempt list.

If that happens, it may be the only thing that can slow this team down. That doesn’t mean they still won’t be the best franchise without AB, just that they will be slowed down some.
