Quarterback

Josh Allen, Bills (30.0 percent owned)

Look, you can not believe in Josh Allen as a viable NFL starting quarterback all you want, but when it comes to fantasy football, he’s a valuable piece. Not only is he a big passing play waiting to happen, especially with a deep threat like John Brown with him now but his rushing ability makes him incredibly worthwhile in fantasy.

More from NFL Spin Zone

Allen has a rushing touchdown in each of the first two weeks of the season, which has propelled him to averaging 19.1 fantasy points per game to this point. Because of the rushing ability, his floor is high and so is his ceiling. You should roster him, without question.

Jimmy Garoppolo, 49ers (24.3 percent owned)

Everyone was concerned about Garoppolo after his preseason debut but he’s settling in nicely. While he put up just 10.4 fantasy points in Week 1, he exploded for 22.7 points in Week 2. And while he won’t face the Bengals every week, the 49ers quarterback is clearly getting his legs back and has a plethora of weapons around him in a Kyle Shanahan offense. That should spell success and Jimmy G is worth an add to see if he keeps taking steps forward.

Andy Dalton, Bengals (9.8 percent owned)

The Bengals are a bad football team. However, Andy Dalton has been a viable fantasy football quarterback through two weeks. He’s airing it out right now because he has to for his team to keep up with opponents and it’s worked out in a fantasy capacity, averaging 19.7 points per game over his first couple of outings. It might never be pretty but he’s an intriguing fantasy player right now.

Other available options: Mason Rudolph, Steelers (0.2 percent owned); Teddy Bridgewater, Saints (0.2 percent owned)
